2019 started strong and positive for Kia Philippines after it has been re-launched under AC Automotive and then bringing in the all-new Soluto to the market. We've covered the important highlights and sidelights of the event. Watch it here on Special Feature.

AC Automotive, Ayala Corporation's automobile business company operating under AC Industrials, has officially re-launched the Kia brand in the Philippines.

As Kia is present in over 185 countries, AC Automotive said the re-launch of Kia in the country leads the way for them to become a more significant player in the local automotive market. Presently, Kia has a network of 37 dealerships.

The company also puts its confidence in Kia, given that the brand has a wide selection of quality and affordable cars for Filipinos. AC Automotive added that Kia has also made a name for itself as the "approachable everyday companion" in the 24 years that it has been established in the country.

With the Kia business now under AC Automotive's wing, the brand said customers can expect an upgraded level of service consistent with global standards, yet still retaining that personal touch. Consistent with Kia's global mantra of "The Power to Surprise," Kia Philippines aims to have more dealers in strategic locations and will be actively offering additional relevant models to the market.

Additionally, every Kia dealership now features Kia Promise to Care Programs, which will ramp up aftersales service quality, competence, and parts availability to provide every customer an exceptional service experience.

Kia also announced that three new models will be introduced this year.

Shortly after this announcement and Kia's re-launching in the country, the brand proudly brought the all-new Soluto to the market through a grand launching event held at the Makati Shangri-La.

The Soluto is powered by a 1.4-liter Dual-CCVT gasoline engine that produces 95 PS of power and 132 Nm of torque. The engine comes available with either 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic. The suspension comes with an Independent MacPherson Strut, H-type sub-frame at the front, and V-Beam Coupled Torsion Beam Axle at the rear.

The exterior design of the Soluto is similar to the styling of other Kia models. However, it has those details that separate it from the rest.

Inside, there's a generous amount of space for the passengers. It comes with the new 7-inch Touchscreen with AM/FM, MP3 with USB and Aux-In. Sound is enjoyable through the 6-speaker system. It is also equipped with a rearview camera and steering wheel controls.

The Soluto joins Kia's roster of vehicles including the Picanto and Rio, the Sportage, the Sorento, the Grand Carnival, and the K2500.

Kia Philippines said they are positive that the launch of the Soluto and the other models that are yet to be launched will be a big help in terms of sales. The brand also said that they have more in store for this year.
